The Plot Twist That Broke My Brain:
The ending wasn't about correcting a broken timeline — it was about destroying Eternity itself for the sake of infinite future possibilities. Noys from the Hidden Century, sent back to enter Eternity and trigger its destruction through Harlan. Not a fix. A complete dissolution.

What I Expected: Harlan sends Cooper back → timeline corrected → Eternity functions as usual.

What Asimov Delivered: Eternity burns down because its very existence constrained humanity's infinite potential.

The Deeper Insight: An organization built to protect humanity's future was actually limiting that future. That's not just a plot twist — it's a philosophical gut-punch.

Takeaway: Asimov (1930s) wrote AI, agentic systems, and time manipulation that movies only made mainstream decades later. The End of Eternity is proof that great sci-fi isn't about predicting the future — it's about understanding the present.

Worthy Highlights

"The greatest good?' ... 'What is that? Your machines tell you. Your Computaplexes. But who adjusts the machines and tells them what to weigh in the balance? The machines do not solve problems with greater insight than men do, only faster. Only faster! Then what is it the Eternals consider good?
